QUESTIONS

Where is the Angel Of Mercy tonight?
Why does my daughter have such a hard fight?
Who is the keeper of painless calm sleep?
When does the waiting get easier to keep?

How do I go on continuing to smile?
What can I do to help such a small child?
How can these doctors do what they do;
Knowing their patient is just barely two?

These questions I have, and many-odd more!
If only the answers would come through the door!
I know that they won't, yet continue to hope -
It's the only way now I continue to cope!

Oh, where is the Angel Of Mercy tonight?
Maybe it's here, in the glow of the light;
In the touch of a hand, and the ease of a brow;
Maybe the Angel is ME somehow?

When does the waiting get easier to keep?
Who is the keeper of painless calm sleep?
